- sugar - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- cold water - 1/3 c
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- shortening - 2 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- soy sauce - 2 tsp
- catsup - 1/2 c
- lean ground beef, browned - 1 lb
- diced celery - 2 c
- onion, minced - 1 c
- bean sprouts, drained
- can red kidney beans - 1 item
- large can pork and beans - 1 item
- prepared mustard or 1 tsp - 2 tsp
- can green lima beans - 1 item
- frozen peas optional - 1/2 c
- medium can chow mein noodles - 1 item
- can Spam, cubed - 1 oz
- lean bacon, cooked and minced - 1 lb
How to make easy chow mein:
