Easy alfredo
Ingredients/Components
- dry white wine - 1/4 c
- olive oil - 2 Tbsp
- finely minced garlic - 1/2 tsp
- grated Romano cheese - 1 item
- fettuccine - 3/4 lb
- chicken breast, cut in small chunks - 3/4 1
- can mushrooms, sliced I use stems and pieces, fresh mushrooms may be used - 1 oz
- jar Betty Crocker alfredo sauce - 1 item
How to make easy alfredo:
Saute garlic in olive oil. If using fresh mushrooms these may be sauteed along with garlic, about 5 minutes.Add chunks of chicken breasts and cook until light brown or pink is no longer showing, 5 or 10 minutes. Add Betty Crocker sauce and 1/4 cup dry white wine. Bring to a boil and then simmer about 15 minutes. If you did not use fresh mushrooms, you add the 4 ounce can of mushrooms and heat through.
Serve over fettuccine that has been cooked according to package directions. Top with grated Romano cheese. Makes 3 generous servings.
