Easy chicken and dumplings
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 1 Tbsp
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
- small can evaporated milk - 1 item
- celery seed - 1/2 tsp
- fryer, cut up - 1 item
- tube refrigerator biscuits - 1 item
How to make easy chicken and dumplings:
Season and brown the chicken in a Dutch oven or deep skillet. Remove chicken and some of the fat. Bone chicken. Stir flour into remaining fat. Add the soup, milk, evaporated milk and celery seed. Stir until mixed. Return chicken to pan and simmer for 30 minutes.Place refrigerator biscuits on top of chicken. Cover pan tightly and simmer for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with paprika and 1 teaspoon dried parsley, if desired.
