  • self-rising flour - 3 c
  • can beer - 1 oz
  • butter or oleo, melted - 2 3

How to make easy beer bread:

Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl. Gradually add beer (at room temperature), stirring just until moistened; spoon into a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes, or until loaf tests done. Brush top with butter. Cool loaf in pan 10 minutes, remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack. Slice with electric knife. Yields 1 loaf.

Note: Makes 3 loaves to serve about 20 people.
