Ingredients/Components

  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • chopped onion - 2 Tbsp
  • can cream of chicken soup - 1 item
  • soup can milk - 3/4 item
  • green pepper - 2 Tbsp
  • sharp cheese, shredded - 4 oz
  • jar dried beef - 1 1/2
  • 1 1/4 c - 4 oz

How to make dried beef casserole:

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add onion and pepper. Cook until tender, about 5 minutes on low heat. Cut dried beef into small pieces. Add to onion mixture and continue cooking until browned. Stir in soup, milk, pepper and paprika. Heat to boiling. Cook macaroni as directed; do not add salt. Drain macaroni and rinse. Drain again. Combine with beef sauce. Pour into casserole. Spread well with cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 325° for 20 to 30 minutes.
