Do-ahead mashed potatoes
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 2 oz
- sour cream - 1 c
- butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion salt - 2 tsp
- potatoes, peeled and quartered - 5 lb
How to make do-ahead mashed potatoes:
Cook potatoes; mash with electric mixer until there are no lumps. Mix again, adding all ingredients; cool. Put in a greased casserole. Dot with butter. Cook at 350° for 40 minutes until heated through. Cook uncovered. Can be prepared a few days ahead and refrigerated until the day you want to serve them.
