  • sugar - 4 c
  • water - 1 c
  • syrup white corn syrup - 1 c
  • egg whites - 4 item
  • vanilla - 1 Tbsp
  • powdered sugar - 1 tsp
  • nuts walnuts, pecans or almonds, if desired - 1 c

How to make divinity:

Boil sugar, water and white corn syrup until hard boil stage. Pour hot mixture into stiffly beaten egg whites; continue beating on high speed of mixer. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat until mixture loses its gloss. Add nuts, if desired. Pour onto marble. Cool. Store in airtight container.
