Deep dish taco squares
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- chopped onion - 1/4 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- shredded sharp Cheddar cheese - 1 c
- can tomato sauce - 1 item
- ground beef - 1 lb
- ground cumin - 1/2 tsp
- Miracle Whip - 1/2 c
- medium green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- container sour cream - 1 (8
- buttermilk baking mix - 2 c
How to make deep dish taco squares:
Heat oven to 375°. Mix baking mix and water; press into a 12 x 8-inch baking dish. Bake 10 minutes. Brown meat with green pepper and onion; drain. Stir in tomato sauce and seasonings; spoon over warm crust. Mix sour cream, cheese and dressing. Spoon over meat mixture. Top with paprika, if desired. Bake 25 minutes.
