Date pudding

Ingredients/Components

• flour - 1 c
• brown sugar
• chopped dates - 1 c
• baking powder - 1 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• nuts - 1 c
• hot water - 2 c
• white sugar - 1 c

How to make date pudding:

Boil together for 3 minutes the chopped dates, hot water and brown sugar.

Mix white sugar, flour, nuts, egg and baking powder. Add date mixture to the flour mixture and put in a 9 x 13-inch pan. Pour syrup from dates over it. Bake about 25 minutes at 350°.

Top with whipped cream when cool and serve.
