  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 3 c
  • water
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • white sugar - 1 c
  • pitted dates - 1 c

How to make date pudding:

Combine brown sugar and water; cook to form a thin syrup. Boil 3 to 5 minutes.

Mix remaining ingredients all together and pour into boiling syrup. Do not stir. Place in oven. Bake at 350° until pudding is brown and cooked through, 30 to 40 minutes.
