Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 3 c
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- cooked rice - 4 c
- carrot, chopped - 1 item
- curry powder more or less to taste - 1 tsp
- apple, chopped - 1 item
- stalks celery, chopped with leaves - 2 item
- uncooked lentils - 1 c
- dash of anise seed - 1 item
How to make curried lentils:
Combine first 10 ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until done, about 60 minutes. Serve over generous portions of steamed rice. Serves 4. Contains 1% fat.Recipe categories: Low fat, Beans, Lentil.
