- salt - 5 tsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- water - 1 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- chopped onions
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- chopped green onions - 1 c
- tomato paste - 1 (6
- chopped parsley - 1/2 c
- chopped celery with leaves - 1 c
- cooked rice - 2 3
- Worcestershire - 1 tsp
- chopped bell pepper - 1 c
- bacon grease - 1/4 c
- to 3 bay leaves - 2 item

- raw peeled shrimp - 4 lb
- red pepper or Tabasco to taste - 1/2 tsp
How to make shrimp creole:
Make a dark roux of flour and bacon grease. Add vegetables and saute until soft. Add tomato paste and mix well with vegetables. Add all other ingredients except shrimp, parsley and rice. Simmer slowly 1 hour covered. Stir occasionally. Add shrimp, parsley and rice ; cook 5 to 15 more minutes.Recipe categories: Seafood, Shellfish, Shrimp.
