Crescent chicken squares
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- melted margarine - 1 item
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- margarine, melted - 2 Tbsp
- cooked, chopped chicken - 2 c
- small jar chopped pimentos - 1 item
- can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls - 1 oz
- chopped onion or chives - 1 Tbsp
- Progresso Italian-style bread crumbs - 1 item
How to make crescent chicken squares:
Preheat oven to 350°. Blend cream cheese and margarine until smooth. Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, onion and pimentos; mix well.Separate rolls into 4 rectangles. Seal perforations. Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to center. Seal. Brush with melted margarine. Coat with bread crumbs. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown. Makes 4.
Can be made earlier in day and refrigerated until ready to bake. Allow additional baking time. Also, you can double recipe and freeze those not needed.
