Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • tomato juice - 1 c
  • green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
  • green onions, chopped - 2 item
  • celery, chopped - 1 c
  • cooked shrimp - 2 c
  • crushed sage - 1/4 tsp
  • steamed rice - 2 c

How to make creole shrimp and rice:

Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add onions, green pepper and celery. Brown lightly. Add sage, salt and tomato juice and bring to a boil. Add shrimp and simmer 30 minutes. Serve on steamed rice. Serves 4.
