Creole shrimp and rice
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- tomato juice - 1 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 item
- green onions, chopped - 2 item
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- cooked shrimp - 2 c
- crushed sage - 1/4 tsp
- steamed rice - 2 c
How to make creole shrimp and rice:
Melt butter in a heavy skillet; add onions, green pepper and celery. Brown lightly. Add sage, salt and tomato juice and bring to a boil. Add shrimp and simmer 30 minutes. Serve on steamed rice. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, One Dish meal, Shrimp.
