Sausage casserole
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- sage - 1/2 tsp
- bread crumbs - 1 c
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1/2 c
- green pepper, chopped - 1/2 c
- chopped pimento - 1/4 c
- celery, chopped - 1 c
- rice - 1/2 c
- sausage - 1 lb
How to make sausage casserole:
Brown sausage and drain fat. Add celery, onion and green pepper. Cook until tender, but not brown. Stir in pimento, soup, milk, rice and seasonings. Pour into an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Bake, covered, at 350° for 50 minutes. Mix butter and crumbs. Sprinkle over top. Bake 20 minutes more, uncovered.Recipe categories: Main dish, Casseroles, Pork.
