Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 2 c
  • melted margarine - 3/4 c
  • paprika - 1/4 tsp
  • crushed cornflakes - 2 c
  • onion, chopped - 3 Tbsp
  • can cream of chicken soup undiluted - 1 item
  • frozen hash browns, thawed
  • American or Colby cheese, cubed - 1 lb
  • savory optional - 1 item

How to make creamy hash brown casserole:

In a large bowl, combine hash browns with cheese, soup, sour cream and onion. Spread in 9 x 13 baking dish that has been sprayed with Pam. Combine crushed cornflakes with melted margarine. Spread on top. Sprinkle with savory and paprika. Bake uncovered in 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until bubbly.
