Creamed broccoli
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 1 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- melted butter - 2 Tbsp
- grated cheese - 1/2 lb
- Salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- frozen, chopped broccoli - 1 pkg
- small, chopped onion - 1 item
- cracker crumbs or potato chips - 1 item
How to make creamed broccoli:
Cook broccoli in salt water in saucepan. Drain. In saucepan melt butter, blend in flour, add milk, salt, pepper, and cook until thickened. Add onions to drained broccoli and then combine onion and broccoli to cream sauce. Beat until light. Place in baking dish. Top with crumbs and cheese. Bake at 350° until bubbly and lightly browned.Note: I use Pepperidge Farm Herb bread crumbs.
