Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- heavy cream - 1 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- vanilla instant pudding
How to make cream puffs:
Cream Filling:1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding1 c. heavy cream In a saucepan, heat water, margarine and salt until it boils. Remove from heat and using a wooden spoon, vigorously work in flour (all at once). Stir for 2 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each. Mixture should be smooth and satiny. Cool slightly. Preheat oven to 400°. Drop batter by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Turn oven off and let stay in for 15 minutes. Remove and cool on rack.Prepare instant pudding using 1 1/2 cups milk. Fold in heavy cream, whipped. When cream puffs are cool, cut off top with serrated knife, put filling in, cover and drizzle with any prepared chocolate topping.
