Cranberry orange bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 2/3 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- oil - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 1 Tbsp
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- grated orange rind - 1 Tbsp
- chopped cranberries - 1 c
- flake cereal
How to make cranberry orange bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease loaf pan. Mix dry ingredients together; set aside. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, orange juice and rind and oil. Add to flour mixture and mix just enough to moisten flour. Stir in cereal, cranberries and nuts. Bake at 350° for 60 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, remainder on rack.Note: Any flake cereal may be used. Post oat flakes were originally called for, but are not sold any longer. I've use corn flakes and bran flakes.
