Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- flour - 2 c
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 tsp
- mashed bananas about 2 medium - 1 c
- oil, butter or margarine - 1/2 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease loaf pan. Cream the shortening and sugar. Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add to creamed mixture. Add bananas and lemon juice. Add dry ingredients. Stir nuts into mixture. Pour into loaf pan. Bake 1 1/4 hours at 375°. Cool on rack.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
