Cranberry bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- large egg - 1 item
- chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
- orange juice - 3/4 c
- grated orange rind - 1 tsp
- cranberries - 2 c
How to make cranberry bread:
Line the bottom of a loaf pan with wax paper and butter it. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar and orange rind. Beat in egg until blended. Add flour mixture in 3 additions, alternating with orange juice, mixing each time. Fold in cranberries and walnuts. Turn into loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350° until cake tester comes out clean, about 55 minutes. Cool on wire rack. Wrap and store for flavors to blend.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Quick breads.
