  • sugar - 1 Tbsp
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • flour - 1/2 c
  • baking powder
  • egg - 1 item
  • margarine
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • stalks celery, finely chopped - 3 item
  • chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
  • corn meal
  • bunch green onions - 1 item
  • sliced bread, toasted - 4 item
  • chicken broth, 1 can or more

How to make cornbread dressing:

Remaining Ingredients:3 Tbsp. margarine3 stalks celery, finely chopped1 bunch green onions2 Tbsp. chopped parsley4 sliced bread, toasted1 egg chicken broth, 1 can or more salt and pepper Mix cornbread ingredients. Bake at 350° until golden brown. Saute in 3 tablespoons margarine, 3 celery stalks, chopped fine, 1 bunch green onions including half of the green tops and 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh or dried parsley. Toast 4 slices of bread. Crush into crumbs. Mix 1 egg with cornbread, bread crumbs, sauteed vegetables and chicken broth. Add salt and pepper to taste. Dressing needs to be very moist. Stiff in turkey right before baking for best taste. Or bake in casserole dish at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
