Hush puppies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 tsp
• milk - 1 item
• salt - 1/4 tsp
• flour - 1/2 c
• baking powder - 3 tsp
• egg - 1 item
• onion, finely chopped - 1 item
• corn meal - 1 c

How to make hush puppies:

Mix dry ingredients. Add onion, egg and enough milk to form a stiff dough that will drop easily off a teaspoon. Drop into deep, hot fat. Cook until golden brown. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
