Corn dog bites

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 Tbsp
• pkg - 1 oz
• buttermilk - 1 c
• vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
• self-rising flour - 1 c
• large beaten egg - 1 item
• corn meal self-rising - 2/3 c
• mustard and ketchup optional - 1 item

How to make corn dog bites:

Combine first 3 ingredients in large bowl. Combine oil, egg and buttermilk. Stir in flour mixture. Cut frankfurters into 5 pieces. Dip each piece into batter. Coat completely. Use wooden picks to aid in dipping. Pour oil 3 to 4-inches deep in Dutch oven or pan. Heat to 375°. Fry until golden brown. Turn once while frying. Serve with mustard and ketchup.
