Corn dog bites
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 Tbsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- buttermilk - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- self-rising flour - 1 c
- large beaten egg - 1 item
- corn meal self-rising - 2/3 c
- mustard and ketchup optional - 1 item
How to make corn dog bites:
Combine first 3 ingredients in large bowl. Combine oil, egg and buttermilk. Stir in flour mixture. Cut frankfurters into 5 pieces. Dip each piece into batter. Coat completely. Use wooden picks to aid in dipping. Pour oil 3 to 4-inches deep in Dutch oven or pan. Heat to 375°. Fry until golden brown. Turn once while frying.
