Corn chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk - 2 c
- brown sugar - 1 tsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- paprika - 1/2 tsp
- salt and pepper - 1 item
- large onion, chopped - 1 item
- thyme - 1/2 tsp
- red bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
- corn fresh or frozen - 2 c
- to 4 potatoes, peeled and diced - 3 item
How to make corn chowder:
Saute the onion and pepper in butter in a heavy soup pot. Add the potatoes and enough water to just cover. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer until the potatoes are done. Mash some of the potatoes against the side of the pot or use a potato masher to mash some of them. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 30 minutes.
