Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 oz
- milk - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/2 Tbsp
- water - 3/4 c
- finely chopped pecans - 1/4 c
- Crisco oil - 2/3 c
- whole eggs - 4 item
- Batter:1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe golden cake mix
How to make coffee cake:
Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture:2 tsp. cinnamon1/3 c. sugar Batter:1 box Duncan Hines butter recipe golden cake mix1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla instant pudding2/3 c. Crisco oil3/4 c. water4 whole eggs1/4 tsp. salt1 tsp. vanilla Glaze:1/4 c. sugar1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 Tbsp. butter1 Tbsp. milk Do this first: Generously grease Bundt or angel food cake pan. Sprinkle bottom and sides of pan with cinnamon-sugar mixture. Save the rest for later. Sprinkle with pecans on bottom of pan. Set aside.Batter: Blend ingredients, then beat 8 minutes at high speed. Add 1/3 batter into prepared pan, then sprinkle with half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add 1/3 more batter into pan and sprinkle with the second half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add rest of batter. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Cool on rack for 8 minutes, then remove from pan and spread glaze on cake.
Glaze: Mix well.
