- vanilla - 1 tsp
- pkg - 1 lb
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour
- water - 1 c
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- margarine or butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- raisins - 1 c
- nuts optional - 1/2 c
- cloves - 1/4 tsp
- eggs, well beaten - 5 item
- sifted all-purpose flour - 3 c
- allspice - 1 tsp
- coarsely chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- butter no substitute - 1/2 lb
- slightly beaten egg - 1 item
- bottle maraschino cherries, well drained - 1 or
How to make cherry pound cake:
Heat raisins and water until boiling. Take off heat and add margarine. Cool until lukewarm. Add all remaining ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 375° about 20 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Cherries.
