Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- flour
- brown sugar
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1/4 c
How to make coffee cake:
Filling:1/2 c. brown sugar2 tsp. flour2 tsp. cinnamon3 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. chopped nuts Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening. Blend in well-beaten egg mixed with milk and add to dry ingredients. Add vanilla and beat well to mix. Pour half batter in 8 x 8-inch pan. Sprinkle with half of filling, then add rest of batter, then rest of filling. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes.Filling: Mix all together.
