Cinnamon rolls
Ingredients/Components
- stick margarine or butter - 1 item
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1 c
- bread flour - 5 c
- warm water - 1/4 c
- yeast - 2 pkg
- eggs - 2 item
- Filling:2 sticks butter
- brown sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- powdered sugar
- milk add to consistency of a glaze - 2 3
How to make cinnamon rolls:
Filling:2 sticks butter2 c. brown sugar2 tsp. cinnamon Glaze:2 c. powdered sugar2 to 3 Tbsp. milk (add to consistency of a glaze) Melt margarine and mix in sugar well. Heat milk and mix with margarine mixture. In another bowl, mix 2 1/2 cups bread flour, 1/4 cup warm water and the yeast. Mix in 2 beaten eggs. Add 2 more cups of flour. Combine the two mixtures and beat well. Pour onto a floured board and knead until crumbly. Butter a bowl. Place dough in bowl and let rise until double in size (about 2 hours). Pour dough onto flour again and divide in half. Roll out and put melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Cut in half. Roll up and cut in slices; place on baking sheet. Let sit 30 minutes to 1 hour. Bake at 350° until golden.Mix powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Pour onto rolls when hot.
