Cinnamon buns
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- water - 1/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- oleo - 1/4 c
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- scalded milk - 1 c
How to make cinnamon buns:
Soften yeast in warm water. Combine milk, sugar, oleo and salt and cool to lukewarm. Add half the flour and mix well. Add yeast and beaten egg; beat well. Stir in remaining flour. Knead until smooth. Let rise to double its size (1 1/2 to 2 hours). Roll to a 18 x 10-inch rectangle 1/2-inch thick. Spread with 1/4 cup butter. Combine 1/4 cup sugar with cinnamon. Sprinkle over dough. Roll and cut in 1-inch pieces. Allow to double. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 375° in a large muffin pan.Recipe categories: Breads, Weeknight, Yeast breads.
