  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/4 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 3/4 c
  • salt - 2 tsp
  • flour - 4 5
  • butter - 1/2 c
  • water - 1/4 c
  • melted butter - 1/4 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • grated orange peel - 1 Tbsp
  • orange juice - 1/2 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 2 pkg
  • Combine milk, water, orange juice and 1/2 cup butter; heat until warm

How to make orange cinnamon rolls:

Using a large bowl, mix 1 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, orange peel and undissolved yeast. Combine milk, water, orange juice and 1/2 cup butter; heat until warm. Gradually add to dry mixture. Beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Add egg and 1/2 cup flour to make thick batter; beat 2 minutes on high. Stir in enough additional flour to make soft dough. Turn out on pastry cloth; knead until smooth. Put in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover with towel; let rise until double.

Punch dough down. Divide into 6 equal parts. Roll 1 piece of dough into 8-inch circle. Brush with melted butter. Combine 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle circle with 2 tablespoons of mixture. Cut circle into 4 pie shaped pieces. Roll up lightly, beginning at wide end. Seal points. Put on baking sheet with points underneath. Curve to form crescents. Repeat with remaining dough and sugar mixture. Cover; let rise until double. Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes.
