Cincinnati chili
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1 Tbsp
- cider vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- ground cloves - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- lean ground beef - 1/2 lb
- ground cumin - 1/2 tsp
- bay leaves - 2 item
- pinch of ground red pepper - 1 item
- toe garlic - 1 item
- can peeled, whole tomatoes - 1 oz
How to make cincinnati chili:
In large saucepan, cook ground beef and onion until onion is tender and ground beef is no longer pink. Drain fat from meat. Add the remaining ingredients; stir well. Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, 2 to 3 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf and garlic toe. Serve over hot, drained spaghetti noodles.
