Cincinnati chili
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1/2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chili powder
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- bay leaves - 3 item
- white vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- lean ground beef, cooked and drained
- can crushed stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
- toe garlic, mashed - 1 item
How to make cincinnati chili:
Vegetarian meat alternative may be used in lieu of beef.Combine beef and chopped onion. Cook, brown and drain. Add rest of ingredients and cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving. Serve over spaghetti and top with grated Cheddar cheese. Also very good with cornbread.
