Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • allspice - 1/2 tsp
  • pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • chili powder
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • small onion, chopped - 1 item
  • bay leaves - 3 item
  • white vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • lean ground beef, cooked and drained
  • can crushed stewed tomatoes - 1 1/2
  • toe garlic, mashed - 1 item

How to make cincinnati chili:

Vegetarian meat alternative may be used in lieu of beef.

Combine beef and chopped onion. Cook, brown and drain. Add rest of ingredients and cook slowly for 2 to 3 hours. Remove bay leaves before serving. Serve over spaghetti and top with grated Cheddar cheese. Also very good with cornbread.
