- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 qt
- cider vinegar
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- chili powder - 2 Tbsp
- ground allspice
- lean hamburger - 2 lb
- tomato paste - 1 (6
- ground cumin - 1 tsp
- black pepper - 1 tsp
- large chopped onions - 2 item
- clove garlic whole - 1 item
- large whole bay leaves - 3 item
- Do not brown
- red or chili pepper - 1/2 tsp
How to make cincinnati chili:
Into water, crumble raw hamburger. Do not brown. Add all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Simmer 3 hours. Remove garlic clove and bay leaves. Add whole red peppers if desired.Serving Suggestions: Spaghetti noodles topped with chili.Spaghetti noodles topped with chili and grated Cheddar.
Spaghetti noodles topped with chili, grated Cheddar cheese and chopped onions or same as above, but add kidney beans to chili.
Coneys: Frankfurter on a bun topped with chili, onions and grated Cheddar. Serves 10 to 12.
