Ingredients/Components
- butter - 4 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- large onions, chopped - 4 item
- eggs, hard-boiled - 3 item
- slices toast - 4 item
- liver, cut in strips and cooked - 1 lb
How to make chopped liver:
Saute onions with butter to soften. Season with salt and pepper. Fry liver until done. Chop eggs, meat, bread and onion. Run through food grinder with fine blade twice. If mixture appears dry add mayonnaise to suit. Serve with crackers.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Spreads, Chicken livers.
