- brown sugar - 3 c

- baking soda - 1 Tbsp
- egg whites - 8 item
- 2 lb - 8 c
- Baking Time: 8 to 10 minutes
How to make chocolate whoopie pies:
Baking Temperature: 375°. Baking Time: 8 to 10 minutes.Cream oil and sugar. Add eggs, beating until fluffy. Add vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake. Yield: 4 dozen sandwich cookies.Whoopie Pie Filling:6 c. Crisco (one 3 lb. can)8 egg whites1/4 c. vanilla1/4 c. milk1/2 c. flour8 c. (2 lb.) confectioners sugar Mix ingredients in order and beat until fluffy.
Alternative Frosting: I use a 3 pound can of ready-mix frosting, available at bake shops.
