Chocolate sour cream pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- all-purpose flour
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- sour cream, with 1/4 tsp - 1 c
How to make chocolate sour cream pound cake:
Cream margarine and gradually add sugars, until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with sour cream mixture. Add vanilla.Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° from 1 1/2 hours (until tests done). Allow to cool in pan for about 10 minutes.
Wrap completely in waxed paper. Place rack or plate on top of the wax paper over the cake, allowing it to get cold. This creates a very moist cake.
