Chocolate sour cream cake
Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla extract - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- carton sour cream - 1 oz
- boiling water - 1 c
How to make chocolate sour cream cake:
Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Add boiling water and mix well. Add vanilla; mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 10 to 15 minutes; remove cake from pan and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
