  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 5 Tbsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 3 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 item
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • pecans, chopped - 1/2 c
  • Frosting:1 stick butter

How to make chocolate sheet cake:

Frosting:1 stick butter3 Tbsp. cocoa5 Tbsp. milk1 box confectioners sugar1/2 c. pecans, chopped1 tsp. vanilla Sift flour, sugar and salt in same bowl. In a pan, put water, margarine and cocoa. Bring to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. While still hot, add mixture of buttermilk, eggs, baking soda and vanilla; mix. Bake in 1-inch deep cookie sheet, greased and floured (10 x 15-inch) at 350° for about 25 minutes. While hot, frost with frosting (below).

Frosting: Heat butter, cocoa and milk in saucepan; do not boil. Remove from stove. Add box of confectioners sugar, pecans and vanilla. Spread on cake while both are hot. You can sprinkle pecans on cake, then pour frosting over, if desired.
