Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- box confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- sticks butter - 2 item
- Icing:1 stick margarine
How to make mississippi mud cake:
Icing:1 stick margarine3 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 lb. box confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla Sift flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Bring butter, water and cocoa to a boil. Pour over flour mixture. Mix eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour this into other mixture; stir well. Pour into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.Icing: Put butter, cocoa and milk in pan. Heat, but do not boil, until butter melts and is blended. Add sugar and vanilla. Frost immediately.
