Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
- egg yolks, slightly beaten - 2 item
How to make chocolate pie:
Mix cocoa, sugar, flour and salt in double boiler. Add milk. Cook until thick, stirring constantly. Continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring. Add egg yolks gradually, stirring vigorously. Cook for 2 minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla; cool. Pour into 9-inch pie shell. Add meringue and bake at 350° for 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
