How to make chocolate pecan pie:
Preheat oven to 350°. Roll out pie crust to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Crimp edges decoratively. Refrigerate until ready to use. Melt chocolate in microwave container at full power (100%) 3 minutes or in double boiler over simmering, not boiling water. Beat corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, salt, vanilla and melted chocolate in a bowl until blended. Stir in pecans. Pour into prepared pie crust. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 40 to 45 minutes or until set in center. If crust or top is browning too quickly, tent with aluminum foil during the last 15 minutes. Let the pie cool completely. Garnish with the whipped cream and pecans.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
