vanilla - 1 tsp
salt - 1/4 tsp
baking powder - 1/4 tsp
dark corn syrup - 1 c
flour, sifted
ground cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
pecans, coarsely chopped
light brown sugar, firmly packed - 1 c
1 1/2 sticks butter, softened - 3/4 c
semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled - 2 sq

How to make chocolate pecan bars:

Preheat oven to 350°. Sift 1 1/2 cups flour, cinnamon and baking powder in large bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar. Cut in butter with pastry blender until crumbly. Pat into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Beat eggs and remaining ingredients except pecans with blender until blended. Pour over dough in pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Return to oven and bake 30 minutes.
