Chocolate crumb cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda
- egg - 1 item
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- 1/2 stick butter, softened - 1/4 c
- 5 1/2 oz - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate crumb cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Grease a 9-inch square baking pan. In a large mixing bowl stir together flour and sugar. Remove 1/2 cup of mixture; set aside for topping. Stir baking soda, baking powder and salt into remaining flour mixture. Add butter, egg, milk and syrup. Beat until well blended. Pour batter into prepared pan.Sprinkle reserved 1/2 cup flour mixture over top. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm at room temperature.
