Chocolate cherry bars
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 6 oz
- milk - 1/3 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- margarine or butter - 5 Tbsp
- can cherry fruit pie filling - 21 oz
- Grease and flour 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan or 13 x 9-inch pan
How to make chocolate cherry bars:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan or 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl, combine all bar ingredients. By hand, stir until well mixed. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350° in jelly roll pan for 20 to 30 minutes or in 13 x 9-inch pan for 25 to 30 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.Frosting:1 c. sugar5 Tbsp. margarine or butter1/3 c. milk6 oz. pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips In small saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and milk. Heat to boiling; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips until smooth.
