Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 6 8
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1 item
- Crisco oil - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- walnuts if desired - 1 c
How to make chocolate cake:
Icing:4 Tbsp. cocoa6 to 8 Tbsp. milk1 stick butter1 Tbsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar1 c. walnuts (if desired) Sift together 2 cups flour and sugar. Put on stove and boil the butter, oil, cocoa and water. Pour over flour and sugar mixture. Add eggs (slightly beaten), soda, buttermilk, cinnamon and vanilla. Cook in a long greased pan for 25 minutes at 350° or until done.Icing: Mix cocoa, milk and butter in a saucepan. When boils, put in vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir until smooth. Add nuts, if desired. Pour over cake while hot.
