Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 6 Tbsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cocoa - 4 Tbsp
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • stick butter - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • nuts, chopped - 1 c
  • box powdered sugar - 1 item

How to make chocolate sheath cake:

Icing:4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk1 stick butter1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar1 c. nuts, chopped Place sugar and flour in bowl and set aside. Place Crisco, butter, cocoa and water in saucepan and bring to a boil; pour over flour mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla and cinnamon, then beat well. To hot mixture add buttermilk, eggs and soda; mix. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Icing: Bring cocoa, milk and butter to a boil and remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients and spread on cake while icing is still warm.
