Chinese pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- vegetable oil - 1/4 c
- ginger - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 1/4 c
- can sliced water chestnuts - 1 item
- black pepper - 1/2 tsp
- beef stock - 1/2 c
- green peppers - 3 item
- large onions - 2 item
- top round or sirloin, cut in strips - 2 lb
How to make chinese pepper steak:
Brown beef strips in oil. Add chopped peppers and sliced onions separated. Sprinkle ginger, pepper and salt. Add soy sauce. Combine beef stock with 1 tablespoon and 1/4 cup water. Thicken and add to mixture along with water chestnuts. Simmer a feRecipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Rice.
