Chinese barbecued spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- cider vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- bay leaf - 1 item
- can tomato sauce - 1 oz
- Tabasco sauce - 1/2 tsp
- medium chopped onion - 1 item
- ground mustard - 1 tsp
- honey or brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- strips fresh pork spareribs, cracked for easy eating - 2 item
- crushed, peeled section garlic - 1 item
How to make chinese barbecued spareribs:
Layer spareribs in shallow pan; dust with salt and pepper. Bake 30 minutes in hot (450°) oven. Meantime, in saucepan, stir together onion, tomato sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, honey, salt, pepper, mustard, Tabasco sauce, bay leaf, garlic and water. Bring to boil. Pour over ribs. Reduce heat to 350° and bake 1 hour. Baste twice with pan drippings. Garnish. Cut scallions and/or small pickles. Delicious!Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork, Pork rib.
