Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
- chili powder - 3 Tbsp
- can tomatoes, cut up - 1 oz
- large onions, chopped - 2 item
- wine vinegar - 3 Tbsp
- lean ground beef - 1 lb
- ground cumin - 1 tsp
- green pepper, chopped - 1 item
- crushed red pepper - 1 Tbsp
- cans red kidney beans - 2 1/2
- dairy sour cream optional - 1 item
- lean ground pork - 1 lb

How to make chili:
In a 4-quart Dutch oven, brown beef and pork. Drain off fat. Stir in undrained beans, undrained tomatoes, onions, green pepper, garlic, chili powder, sugar, red pepper, wine vinegar and cumin. Cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring frequently to avoid scorching. To serve, ladle the chili into soup bowls. If desired, top each serving with shredded cheese and sour cream.
